On 12 November 1852 a marriage license was issued to Peter Creager and Harriet Hamilton in Whitley Co., Indiana, but a "?" is listed for the marriage date, and no certificate was issued.6,7
She and her husband Charles are listed in the 1860 and 1870 censuses in Cleveland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana.2,8
She was named in her father's will, dated 29 June 1876. She and her sisters Jane Williamson and Clarissa Gable, and the children of her deceased sister Emily Sickafoose and deceased brother Justin Hamilton, were left 2/3 of the estate.4 They moved to Michigan sometime before October 1876, when their son Justin was born there.9 They are listed in Ganges, Allegan Co., Michigan, in the 1880 census.9

He was living with his brother Justin and his wife Mary in Columbia Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana, in 1860.4 On 10 August 1861 he enlisted as a Private for a three-year term in Company D of the the 11th. Illinois Infantry Regiment at Winnebago, Winnebago Co., Illinois.2,3 He was described as a farmer, age 19, 5' 6" tall, with brown hair, gray eyes, and a light complexion.2

On 25 January 1860 she transferred a tract of land in the northwest quarter of Section 34 in Cleveland Twp. to the township for $1.00, to be used for school purposes only. One of the witnesses to the deed was her husband Keys C. Hamilton.5
She and her husband Keys are listed in the 1860 census in Cleveland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana. Keys' daughters Clarissa and Jane are listed with them, as is Barzilla Spacy, age 8.2 Shortly afterwards she and Keys moved to Columbia City, Whitley Co., Indiana,4 where they are listed in the 1870 census. Keys is listed as an agricultural agent, with real estate worth $6000, and Elizabeth is listed as having real estate worth $2500.6
She was named as executrix in her husband's will, dated 29 June 1876, and was left 1/3 of the estate.7

A Robert Hamilton, probably this one, is listed in the census of 1800 in Sandgate, Bennington Co., Vermont, with one male and one female, both aged 16-25.5
He served during the War of 1812 in Capt. Jehiel Dayton's volunteer artillery company, Lt. Col. Stephen Thorn's 4th New York Regiment, enlisting in Granville, Washington Co., New York. The Company was ordered to Whitehall, Washington Co., New York, for service on 1 August 1812.8,9,7 In 1830 he was living in Schroon, Essex Co., New York, probably next to his son Keys, since they are listed on successive lines in the census.10 He was living with his son Keys and his family in Whitley Co., Indiana, in 18501, and with his daughter Abigail and her family in Richland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana, in 1860.4
