Rogers.² She died on 2 February 1916 in Battle Creek, Calhoun Co., Michigan, at age 74 from chronic rheumatism, which she'd suffered from for over 20 years.² She was buried on 4 February 1916 in Battle Creek, Calhoun Co., Michigan.²
     Her middle initial is listed as "L" in the 1850 census, but as "S" on her death certificate.^1,2

     Emily Hamilton was born on 23 December 1832 in New York.^2,1 She married John Sickafoose Jr, son of John Sickafoose and Margaret (?), on 3 April 1851.³ She died on 10 July 1872 at age 39.² She was buried at Cleveland Cemetery in Whitley Co., Indiana.²
     She and her husband John and their family are listed in the 1860⁴ and 1870 censuses in Cleveland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana.⁵

     Justin Hamilton was born on 21 December 1834 (based on his age at death of 28 years, 6 months, 27 days) in New York.^2,1,3 He married Mary Nolt, daughter of Jonas Nolt and Regina (?), on 30 October 1859 in Whitley Co., Indiana.⁴ He died on 18 July 1863 at age 28.² He was buried at Nolt Cemetery (Section E, Site 10-2) in Whitley Co., Indiana.²
     He and his wife Mary were living in Columbia Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana, in 1860. Living with them were Justin's brother Charles, and Joseph Plummer.³

     Harriet E. Hamilton was born about 1838 in Ohio.¹ She married Charles Marian Waller, son of John E. Waller and Elizabeth Pierce, on 24 November 1855.^3,4 She died from consumption (i.e., tuberculosis) on 5 June 1886 in Ganges, Allegan Co., Michigan.⁵
     On 12 November 1852 a marriage license was issued to Peter Creager and Harriet Hamilton in Whitley Co., Indiana, but a "?" is listed for the marriage date, and no certificate was issued.^6,7
     She and her husband Charles are listed in the 1860 and 1870 censuses in Cleveland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana.^2,8
     She was named in her father's will, dated 29 June 1876. She and her sisters Jane Williamson and Clarissa Gable, and the children of her deceased sister Emily Sickafoose and deceased brother Justin Hamilton, were left 2/3 of the estate.⁴ They moved to Michigan sometime before October 1876, when their son Justin was born there.⁹ They are listed in Ganges, Allegan Co., Michigan, in the 1880 census.⁹

     Charles A. Hamilton was born about 1840 in Ohio.¹ He died from disease on 7 October 1861 (the Whitley County Civil War Memorial says 1 October 1861) in Birds Point, Mississippi Co., Missouri, just as his Regiment was beginning its service in the Civil War.^2,3
     He was living with his brother Justin and his wife Mary in Columbia Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana, in 1860.⁴ On 10 August 1861 he enlisted as a Private for a three-year term in Company D of the the 11th. Illinois Infantry Regiment at Winnebago, Winnebago Co., Illinois.^2,3 He was described as a farmer, age 19, 5' 6" tall, with brown hair, gray eyes, and a light complexion.²

     Clarissa Hamilton was born on 30 November 1842 (based on her age at death of 56 years, 9 months, 12 days) in Indiana.^1,2 She married Jacob Gable, son of George Gable and Elizabeth Keaner, on 2 September 1860.^3,2 She died on 11 September 1899 in Casco Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan, at age 56 from heart failure brought on by gastritis, with uterine cancer as a contributing factor.² She was buried on 13 September 1899 at McDowell Cemetery in Allegan Co., Michigan.²
     She and her husband Jacob and their family were living in Cleveland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana, in 1870.⁴ Sometime between 1873 and 1880 they moved to Casco Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan, where they are listed in the 1880 census.⁵ She was named in her father's will, dated 29 June 1876. She and her sisters Harriet Waller and Jane Williamson, and the children of her deceased sister Emily Sickafoose and deceased brother Justin Hamilton, were left 2/3 of the estate.⁶

     Elizabeth Morrison was born about 1820 in New York.² She married Keys C. Hamilton, son of Robert Hamilton and Rachel Mallory, sometime after 1850.^1,3 She died in Columbia City, Whitley Co., Indiana.⁴
     On 25 January 1860 she transferred a tract of land in the northwest quarter of Section 34 in Cleveland Twp. to the township for $1.00, to be used for school purposes only. One of the witnesses to the deed was her husband Keys C. Hamilton.⁵
     She and her husband Keys are listed in the 1860 census in Cleveland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana. Keys' daughters Clarissa and Jane are listed with them, as is Barzilla Spacy, age 8.² Shortly afterwards she and Keys moved to Columbia City, Whitley Co., Indiana,⁴ where they are listed in the 1870 census. Keys is listed as an agricultural agent, with real estate worth $6000, and Elizabeth is listed as having real estate worth $2500.⁶
     She was named as executrix in her husband's will, dated 29 June 1876, and was left 1/3 of the estate.⁷

     Robert Hamilton was born about 1776 in Massachusetts.^1,4 He married Rachel Mallory before 1800.^2,5 He died in March 1864.⁶ He was buried at Cleveland Cemetery in Whitley Co., Indiana.⁷
     A Robert Hamilton, probably this one, is listed in the census of 1800 in Sandgate, Bennington Co., Vermont, with one male and one female, both aged 16-25.⁵
     He served during the War of 1812 in Capt. Jehiel Dayton's volunteer artillery company, Lt. Col. Stephen Thorn's 4th New York Regiment, enlisting in Granville, Washington Co., New York. The Company was ordered to Whitehall, Washington Co., New York, for service on 1 August 1812.^8,9,7 In 1830 he was living in Schroon, Essex Co., New York, probably next to his son Keys, since they are listed on successive lines in the census.¹⁰ He was living with his son Keys and his family in Whitley Co., Indiana, in 1850¹, and with his daughter Abigail and her family in Richland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana, in 1860.⁴

     Charles Marian Waller was born in February 1835 in Ohio.³ He married first Harriet E. Hamilton, daughter of Keys C. Hamilton and Caroline Kelley, on 24 November 1855.^4,5 He was married second, by Charles Corman, to Jennie (?) on 15 May 1892 in Casco, Allegan Co., Michigan.²
     He and his first wife Harriet are listed in the 1860 and 1870 censuses in Cleveland Twp., Whitley Co., Indiana.^6,7 They moved to Michigan sometime before October 1876, when their son Justin was born there.⁸ They are listed in Ganges, Allegan Co., Michigan, in the 1880 census.⁸ Charles was living with his son John in Ganges Twp., Allegan Co., Michigan, in 1900.³

     (?) Cissne married Abigail Wason, daughter of Robert Wason and Elizabeth Rogers, before 2 January 1864.²

     Alba Sweetland was born in 1826 in Ohio.^3,2,4,5 He married first Elizabeth Wason, daughter of Robert Wason and Elizabeth Rogers.^1,2 He married second Adeline (?).^5,6 He died in 1899.³ He was buried at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan.³
     He and his wife Elizabeth lived in Otsego, Allegan Co., Michigan.^2,4 He was a carpenter and mill wright.^2,4

     Melissa Wason was born on 19 October 1820.¹ She may have died before 2 January 1864 since she is not named in her mother's will.²
