He immigrated to the United States in 1837, and became a naturalized citizen.4 He and his wife Juliette were living in Pontiac Twp., Oakland Co., Michigan, in 1880.5 He continued to live there after Juliette's death. Living with him in 1900, working as a servant, was Laura Morley, along with her four-year-old son Frank.4
