She and her first husband George lived in Blaine Twp., Benzie Co., Michigan, from at least 1900 to 1930. George's parents were living with them in 1900, and in 1910 five-year-old Dollie A. Wilson was living with them, possibly a relative but listed in the census as a boarder. In 1930 a nephew, Fred Cady (probably Alfred Cady, son of Tennie's sister Nellie), was living with them.7,8,9,10

In 1900 Cecil Linnette Gilbert and his wife Minnie were living in South Frankfort, Gilmore Twp., Benzie Co., Michigan, with their children Garland, Ethel, and Hazel.7 In 1910 they were in Blaine Twp., Benzie Co., with two more children, Erma and Theodore.8 They were living on Third St. in Frankfort, Crystal Lake Twp., Benzie Co., in 1920 and 1930.
