     Hezekiah Babcock was born on 25 March 1716 in South Kingston, Providence Co., Rhode Island.2 He was married by Daniel Gould, Justice, to Mary Peckham on 3 January 1739/40 in Newport, Newport Co., Rhode Island.2 He died in 1798.2
     He settled on land in the part of Westerly, Rhode Island, that later became Hopkinton, and had at least 800 acres. The land was originally purchased by his father on 28 June 1709 from the Colony of Rhode Island, and was part of what was known as the Shannock Purchase.3
     He served as Justice of the Peace from 1740-1746; Representative of South Kingston in 1761; Moderator of the town meetings in 1764 and 1765; and Town Councilman from 1769-1771.2
     He and Mary had the following known children: Caleb (b 7 December 1740, d 10 July 1741), Peleg W.      Elisha Babcock was born on 18 May 1718 in South Kingston, Providence Co., Rhode Island.2 He married Elizabeth Perry, daughter of Samuel Perry and Susanna Hazzard, on 4 July 1744 in Richmond, Washington Co., Rhode Island.2
     He settled on land in the part of Westerly, Rhode Island, that later became Richmond, and had at least 350 acres. The land was originally purchased by his father on 28 June 1709 from the Colony of Rhode Island, and was part of what was known as the Shannock Purchase.3 He served as Justice of the Peace from 1753-1759, and again in 1775.2 In 1768 he was a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church in Westerly, Kings Co., Rhode Island.2 In September 1787, in Richmond, Washington Co., Rhode Island, it was voted that he be paid 1/4 of his claim against the state, the same as others that had been paid.2
     He and Elizabeth had the following known children: Simeon (b 31 May 1745, d 21 September 1806), Eunice (b 28 July 1746), Elizabeth (b 23 September 1747), Elisha (b 17 December 1748), Alice (b 29 May 1750), Sarah (b 23 April 1742 (1752?)), Susanna (b 1 February 1754), Deliverance (b 9 May 1755), Ruth (b 1757, d 1823), Jesse (b 19 April 1759, d 17 January 1837), Maribah, Lydia (b 11 March 1763).4

     Thomas Potter Jr. was born on 8 February 1695 in North Kingston, Rhode Island.1 He married first Mary Babcock, daughter of George Babcock and Elizabeth Hall, on 19 March 1717.1 He married second Judith Rogers.1 He died on 8 January 1773 in Hopkinton, Washington Co., Rhode Island, at age 77.1 He was buried in Woodville, Washington Co., Rhode Island. About 100 years later his body was moved by Judge William H. Potter of Mystic, Connecticut, to the First Hopkinton Cemetery, near Potter Hill, Rhode Island.1
     He and his first wife Mary had the following known children: Susanna (b 20 February 1718/19), Thomas (b 14 September 1720, d 1749), Jonathan (b 1723), Mary, Elizabeth (b 29 January 1727), George (b 3 January 1731/32), Stephen.1

They were married by the groom's father, George Babcock, Justice.1 She died on 18 December 1798 in South Kingston, Washington Co., Rhode Island, at age 85.1
