     Mary Tharp was born about 1717 in Talbot Co., Maryland.¹

     Elizabeth Tharp was born about 1719 in Talbot Co., Maryland.¹ She married Robert Stewart on 1 January 1739 in Queen Anne's Co., Maryland.¹

     Robert Stewart married Elizabeth Tharp, daughter of William Tharp and Jane Austin, on 1 January 1739 in Queen Anne's Co., Maryland.¹

     Abner Tharp was born about 1721 in Talbot Co., Maryland.¹
     He and his brother Joseph served in the Queen Anne's Co., Maryland, militia, where they were listed in Capt. Andrew Price's company on 18 February 1748/49.¹ He lived in Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware, from at least 1752 to 1760, when he was listed there on the tax rolls.¹

     Joseph Tharp was born about 1723 in Talbot Co., Maryland.¹
     He and his brother Abner served in the Queen Anne's Co., Maryland, militia, where they were listed in Capt. Andrew Price's company on 18 February 1748/49.¹ He lived in Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware, from at least 1753 to 1755, when he was listed there on the tax rolls.¹

     Ogle Foster Tharp was born about 1725 in Talbot Co., Maryland.¹ He married the widow of James Jordan in May 1751.¹
     He served with his brothers John and Isaac in Capt. John Emory's company of the Queen Anne's Co., Maryland, militia, where their names appear on the rolls on 6 February 1748/49.² He moved to Murderkill Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware, about 1754.¹ He was named there in the tax lists for 1755 to 1757, but his name was crossed out in 1757, indicating that he had either moved or died.¹

     Jane Tharp was born about 1727 in Talbot Co., Maryland.¹

     William Tharp was born about 1729 in Talbot Co., Maryland.² He married first Barbara Jordan, daughter of James Jordan, about 1754.² He married second Mary (?) about 1764 in Murderkill Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware.² He died in 1807 in Iredell Co., North Carolina.²
     He moved with his older brother John's family to Kent Co., Delaware, sometime before 7 August 1750³, when he and John deeded 100 acres of land in Talbot Co., Maryland, to John Plummer, Sr., in exchange for 6000 pounds of tobacco, and were described as being of Kent Co., Delaware.³
     He is listed in the tax rolls for Murderkill Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware, from 1751 to 1760², and for Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware, from 1761 to 1780.² However, he apparently lived in Sussex Co., Delaware, for some period of time about 1763, since he was described as being from there when he sold 235 1/2 acres in the "Forest of Mispillion" to Samuel Turner for £160 on 1 January 1763.²
     On 23 August 1763 he sold 50 acres of land, part of a tract named Colerain, to John Plummer for £15. He was then described as a planter, of Queen Anne's Co., Maryland.² On 28 November 1763 he also bought two tracts of "Golding Mine" in Mispillion Hundred.² On 5 April 1769 he bought part of a tract named "Marys Choice" in Mispillion Hundred from Isaac Jester for £20. He was then described as a merchant from Kent Co.² A year later, on 5 April 1770, he bought another part of the "Marys Choice" tract from Henry Downs for £60.²
     On 13 May 1772 he sold part of his "Golding Mine" property in Mispillion Hundred to Thomas Hall for £100, and the rest to Joseph Fleming.²
     On 6 December 1774, then described as being of Sussex Co., he bought 55 3/8 acres in Sussex Co. from the estate of Laurence Ryley.² He also bought additional land in Kent Co. on 14 June 1777 from Sarah Downs for £20.²
     On 6 February 1783 he sold the 55 3/8 acres he had purchased in 1774, plus another tract of 250 acres in Sussex Co., to Joseph Morris for £250.²
     He moved to Guilford Co., North Carolina, about 1784 or 1785.² He still owned land in Mispillion Hundred, however, as he paid property taxes there from 1781 to 1796.²
     In 1790 he bought 162 1/2 acres along Troublesome Creek in Guilford Co. from Isaac Wright for £100.² In 1794 and 1795 he bought two 40-acre tracts and one 60-acre tract along Hunting Creek in Iredell Co., North Carolina.² On 26 July 1796 he sold his 162 1/2 acres along Troublesome Creek to William Fields for £100.² He bought 100 additional acres in Iredell Co. in 1798.²

     Elizabeth Birmingham was born about 1714.¹ She married Thomas Tharp, son of William Tharp and Jane Austin, on 1 January 1732 in St. Luke's Parish, Church Hill, Queen Anne's Co., Maryland.¹
     She and Thomas had eight known children, six sons and two daughters.¹

     Hannah Horsley was born about 1714.¹ She married Thomas Tharp, son of William Tharp and Jane Austin, on 10 October 1749 in St. Luke's Parish, Church Hill, Queen Anne's Co., Maryland.¹

     Margaret (?) married Isaac Tharp, son of William Tharp and Jane Austin, in 1734.¹

     Rachel Tharp was born in 1759.¹ She married Joseph Wilcuts.¹

     Joseph Wilcuts was born about 1758.¹ He married Rachel Tharp, daughter of Isaac Tharp and Margaret (?).¹ He died in 1807.¹

     Joseph Tharp was born in 1762 in Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware.² He married Elsey Calhoun in 1791 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.²
     He and Elsey had one known child, Able (b 1795).²

     Elsey Calhoun was born in 1766 in North Carolina.¹ She married Joseph Tharp, son of Isaac Tharp and Margaret (?), in 1791 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.¹
     She and Joseph had one known child, Able (b 1795).¹

     Barbara Jordan was born about 1730 in Queen Anne's Co., Maryland.¹ She married William Tharp, son of William Tharp and Jane Austin, about 1754.¹ She died before 1763 in Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware.¹

     Mary (?) was born about 1740.¹ She married William Tharp, son of William Tharp and Jane Austin, about 1764 in Murderkill Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware.¹
     She was declared insane by a jury in 1815.¹

     Andrew Tharp was born on 22 September 1755 in Murderkill Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware.¹

     William Tharp was born on 27 May 1757 in Murderkill Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware.² He married Rachel Richards about 1781.² He died in December 1849 in Iredell Co., North Carolina, at age 92.²

     Joseph Tharp was born on 10 March 1765 in Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware.² He married Elcie Calhoun, daughter of James Irvin Calhoun and Jean Johnson, about 1785 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.² He died in 1839 in Iredell Co., North Carolina.²
     He and Elcie had the following known children: Allee (b 24 March 1786), Levenia (b 30 June 1788), Mary (b 16 December 1790), William (b 4 December 1792).²

     Amilla Tharp was born on 27 November 1767.¹

     Unise Tharp was born on 3 August 1769.¹

     Kezia Tharp was born on 27 December 1771.¹

     Ann Tharp was born on 1 December 1773.¹

     Zadoc Tharp was born on 9 April 1775 in Mispillion Hundred, Kent Co., Delaware.² He married Leurany Parker on 18 August 1800 in Rowan Co., North Carolina.² He died in 1821 in Iredell Co., North Carolina.²

     Ruth Tharp was born on 3 December 1777.¹

     Rachel Richards was born about 1761.¹ She married William Tharp, son of William Tharp and Barbara Jordan, about 1781.¹ She died before 1849 in Iredell Co., North Carolina.¹
