     Rachel Potter was born about 1779 (based on her age at death of 64) in Hamilton, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, according to her death record, which also says she was the daughter of Nathaniel. However, Rachel Potter, daughter of Nathaniel, was baptized on 28 February 1779 in Ipswich, Essex Co., Massachusetts.^2,3 She was married by Rev. Joshua Spaulding to John Fornis, son of David Fornis and Hannah Wallis, on 15 February 1798.¹ She died from a "disease of the head" on 21 July 1843 (another record says 22 July 1843) in Beverly, Essex Co., Massachusetts.^2,4
     She and John had the following known children: Betsey (b 29 November 1798, d 7 December 1857), Mary (b 1 January 1803), Hannah (b 21 November 1805, d 10 December 1883), Rachel (b 21 May 1808), Lydia (b 9 October 1810, d 6 September 1838), Martha (b 6 February 1813, d 28 July 1834), Lucy Ann (b 21 December 1817).⁴

     Margaret Greely was born about 1782 in Marblehead, Essex Co., Massachusetts.² She was married by Rev. Brown Emerson to John Fornis, son of David Fornis and Hannah Wallis, on 25 March 1845.¹ She died from a "cramp" on 27 October 1862 in Beverly, Essex Co., Massachusetts.²

     John Ford was married by Rev. J. McKean to Sarah Fornis, daughter of David Fornis and Hannah Wallis, on 31 December 1800.¹

     Sally Fiske was born on 3 May 1785.² She was married by Rev. Abiel Abbott to Samuel Fornis, son of David Fornis and Hannah Wallis, on 20 November 1805.^1,2 She died from "old age" on 8 January 1865 (the Fiske genealogy says 14 January 1865) in Salem, Essex Co., Massachusetts, at age 79.^3,2

     He and Mary had the following known children, all born in Billerica, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts: John (b 20 December 1717), Nathaniel (b 12 October 1721), Benjamin (b 15 December 1723, d 25 December 1814), Rachel (b 10 April 1734). Crane adds two additional children, Mary and Sarah, without giving birth dates.^2,3
