Joane (?) married Richard Marche, son of William Marche the Elder.1 She died between 21 May 1616 and 10 June 1616.1
Since her daughter Elizabeth referred to "my uncle, Mr. Henry Martyn," Joane may have been the sister of either Rev. Henry Martyn or his wife Lucy.1
She was named as the executor of her father-in-law William Marche the Elder's will, dated 29 April 1612, inventoried on 11 Feb 1613, and proved on 8 Sep 1615. She was to receive no benefits (except for his funeral expenses and for raising her children) until his debts were paid.1
Her own will was dated 21 May 1616 and proved 21 June 1616. In it she asked that she be buried in the Sherford parish church. She left 10s to the poor of Sherford; £5 to her eldest daughter Alice March, to be paid with half a year after her death; £5 to her second daughter Elizabeth March, to be paid with a year after her death; and 50s to each of her other daughters, Ulalia, Amias, Jane, and Johane March, to be paid with a year after her death. The rest was to go to her son William, who she names executor. The overseers named were William Randall, John Bickford, and Gregory Bickford, and the witnesses were Nicholas Jackston [?] and George March (probably her brother-in-law). Her estate was inventoried on 10 June 1616 by Arthur Wakeham, William Randall, and Thomas March. It was valued at £140 7s, and included clothing, livestock, and a lease "in reversion of twenty-one years in a tenement called Sand Wills" worth £60.1
