King Christian IV (of Denmark) was born on 12 April 1577 at Frederiksborg Slot, Frederiksborg, Copenhagen, Denmark.1 He was the son of King Frederick II (of Denmark) and Princess Sofie (of Mecklenburg).1 King Christian IV (of Denmark) married Anne Catherine (of Brandenburg) on 27 November 1597.1 King Christian IV (of Denmark) died on 28 February 1648 in Rosenborg Slot, Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark, at age 70.1 He was buried on 18 November 1648 in Roskilde Domkirke, Roskilde, Roskilde Amt, Denmark.1
