Born in New York City, she had lived many years in East Windsor. Mrs. Finkelstein graduated in 1960 from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. A former editor and writer for True Confessions and Movie Magazines, she was most recently working for the State of New Jersey, Mercer County Division in Trenton as a senior probation officer for the past 20 years.
Mrs. Finkelstein was an animal lover, volunteer and supporter of environmental, animal and humanitarian organizations. She had a great sense of adventure and loved to travel and go hiking.
Mrs. Finkelstein will be deeply missed by her family, her husband of 43 years, Gerald of East Windsor; her daughter Amy and her husband J. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today at the Crabiel Memorial Funeral Home, 202 Stockton St., Hightstown.
Interment will follow at Cloverleaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge.
