Farnham, son of Millard L. Farnham and Caroline E. Rockwood, on 26 September 1889 in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan.1 She died on 25 April 1935 in Caledonia, Kent Co., Michigan, at age 69.2
     She apparently went by the given name Ellen most of her life5,3,6,7,8, but is listed as Lucy Ellen in her marriage and death records.1,2 And, in the 1870 census she is listed as Lura, perhaps (if her birth year was 1866 and not 1865) named after her sister who died in February 1866.9,10
     She and her husband Henry were living in Caledonia, Kent Co., Michigan, in 1900.3 They were living on a rented farm in Caledonia Twp. in 19106, and in neighboring Gaines Twp. in 1920.7 By 1930 they were living in their own home in the village of Caledonia.8
     She and Henry had two children, Audra M. (b May 1891), and Leon Lewis (b 1 August 1893, d 14 February 1946).3,6,11

     In 1900 he and his wife Harriet were living in Caledonia, Kent Co., Michigan.6 They moved to Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan, sometome between 1900 and 19107, where they lived the rest of their lives.8,9,10
     At the time of his marriage, and for a few years afterwards, he worked as a miller.3,6 After moving to Grand Rapids, he spent the rest of his career working in a furniture factory as a saw filer and engineer.7,8,9,10

     He's occupation is listed as "laundry" in the 1900 census, as shipping clerk in an autombile shop in 1910, and as a general farmer in 1920 and 1930.3,4,5,1 In June 1900 he and his wife Elbanell were living in Brighton Twp., Livingston Co., Michigan, with their infant son Kenneth, and her widowed mother Nancy (Town) Wiley.3 In 1910 they were living in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan, with their children Kenneth, Ruth, Cuyler, and Gretta. Living with them were his sister Anna Rickett (age 36), Elba's aunt Frances Town, and Marie Jackson, a boarder.4 His wife's aunt Frances lived with them for many years, starting by at least 1910.4,5,1 By 1920 the family had moved to Granville, Licking Co., Ohio.5

     Ann Stepp was born on 9 January 1922 in Ohio.2 She married Harrison Lee Towne, son of Howard William Town and Jessie Mae Phillips, on 2 November 1946 in St. Joseph Co., Indiana.2
     On 16 April 1946 she pleaded guilty to driving under the influnce of alcohol, and was fined $50 plus costs of $10, and sentenced to ten days in the county jail. She and John H. Young, who owned the car, had been stopped and arrested at 2:45 that morning on Colfax at Ironwood in South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Young was fined $25 plus $10 costs for allowing an unlicensed person to drive.3
