Several sources list Edward Riddlesdale's daughters Mary, Sarah, and Dorcas as daughters of John Wyatt, the second husband of Edward's wife Mary, based on his will which refers to them as his daughters. More recent research shows, however, that they were actually stepdaughters of John Wyatt, his wife Mary's children from her first marriage with Edward Riddlesdale.1
