She and her husband Robert were living in Beekman, Dutchess Co., New York, in 1880. They are listed in the census in the same building as Robert's parents, but as a separate family. A 15-year-old servant, Ann Wyble, was living with them.4 They moved to Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Co., Michigan, sometime before 1886, when their son Egbert died there as an infant.5 They are listed in the 1894 Michigan state census and the 1900-1930 federal censuses in Washtenaw Co., Michigan, in Ann Arbor in 1894 and 1900, in Ann Arbor Twp. in 1910 and 1920, and back in Ann Arbor in 1930. In 1894 a servant, Ella Miller, was living with them, and in 1900 Jeffery Colling, Harry Quackenbush, and Arthur Haare, all students (presumably at the University of Michigan) were boarding with them.6,3,2,7,8
She and Robert had three children: Bertha (b July 1878), Jennie (b abt March 1880, d bef 1900), Egbert A. (b abt 1885, d 24 March 1886).4,3,5

He was living with his parents in Beekman, Dutchess Co., New York, in 1870 and 1880.3,4 He was living in Torrington, Litchfield Co., Connecticut, in 1900. His mother Ruth was then living with him. They are listed in the census as being in a different house, but at the same address, as his sister Sarah and her family.2,5 In 1910 both he and his mother were listed in the same household as his sister's family, in New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut.6 And in 1920 he was living as a boarder with Henry Woodin's family in Patterson, Putnam Co., New York.7

She is listed with her parents in Beekman, Dutchess Co., New York, in the 1880 census, but the line is crossed out, indicating that she may have actually been living elsewhere.4 She was then working as a schoolteacher.4
She and her husband William were living in Torrington, Litchfield Co., Connecticut, in 1900. They are listed in the census as being in a different house, but at the same address, as Sarah's brother George Millard and mother Ruth. Living with William and Sarah were boarders Edna M. Smith (age 11) and Geo. W. Smith (age 38).2,5 They moved to New Haven, New Haven Co., Connecticut, sometime before 1910. Sarah's brother George and mother Ruth were then living with them, as was Elizabeth Hancox, a lodger.3 They were still in New Haven in 1920, but by then only their son Donald was with them.6
The conclusion that William Smith's wife Sarah was Sarah Millard is based primarily on the information in the 1910 census for those living with him. Those listed with William include his wife Sarah (age 39, born in New York), brother-in-law George Myllard (single, age 62, born in New York), and mother-in-law Ruth Myllard (widow, age 84, born in New York, mother of two children with both living in 1910). All this is consistent with William's wife Sarah being the daughter of John and Ruth (Woodin) Millard. It should be noted, however, that the 1900 census lists Sarah's birth date as November 1860. Her age is listed as 40, with 39 written above in a different style, apparently a correction added later to be consistent with the listed birth date. If she was actually born in November 1860, she could not have been the daughter of John and Ruth Millard, since their daughter Sarah was listed with them in the 1860 census, enumerated in June 1860. If, however, the originally-listed age of 40 was correct, the birth date of November 1860 must be incorrect.3,2,1
Sarah is listed in the 1900 and 1910 censuses as having had nine children, with only one then living, Donald (b abt 1892).2,3

He and his wife Lucinda were living in Oakland, Susquehanna Co., Pennsylvania, in 1870.3 They moved to Romeo, Macomb Co., Michigan, sometime between 1874 and 1880 (based on the birth location of their daughter Frances and the 1880 census).7
They were probably still living in Romeo in 1900. Although he is listed as Joseph instead of Edward in the 1900 census, his wife is listed as Lucinda L., the birth dates and locations of Joseph and Lucinda, and his occupation, are consistent with the information on Edward and Lucinda Woodin in the 1870 and 1880 censuses. In addition, their daughter Esther (Woodin) Hicks is listed nearby with her family. Living with them were three grandchildren, listed in the census as Olive Hicks (born June 1887 in Missouri), Henry W. Hicks (born October 1892 in Michigan), and Alice Hicks (born February 1894 in Michigan). It should be noted, however, that Henry and Alice, at least, should have been listed with the surname Wellsted; they were children of Edward and Lucinda's daughter Frances and her husband Frank Wellstead.6,8,9,10
He was working as a farm laborer in 1870, but soon became a carpet weaver.3,7,6,2
He and Lucinda had six children, with just one living until 1900, but names are known for only two: Esther L. (b December 1869, d 6 October 1910) and Frances (b abt 1874, d 22 April 1897).2,6,3,11,7,12
