     Roscelin de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine was born circa 1100 at Beaumont-sur-Sarthe(le-Vicomte), Sarthe, Maine/Pays-de-la-Loire, France. He was the son of Raoul V de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine and Miss de Laval. Roscelin de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine died in 1176.^1,2

     Constance FitzHenry was born circa 1115 at England. She was the daughter of Henry I 'Beauclerc' King of England and Isabel (Elizabeth) de Beaumont.

     Raoul V de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine was born circa 1070 at Beaumont-sur-Sarthe(le-Vicomte), Sarthe, Maine/Pays-de-la-Loire, France. He was the son of Hubert de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine and Ermengarde de Nevers. Raoul V de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine married Miss de Laval, daughter of Guy II 'le Chauve' Seigneur de Laval and Sicilia (?), in 1095.¹ Raoul V de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine died after 11 June 1120.¹

     Miss de Laval was born circa 1080 at Laval, Mayenne, Maine/Pays-de-la-Loire, France. She was the daughter of Guy II 'le Chauve' Seigneur de Laval and Sicilia (?) Miss de Laval married Raoul V de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine, son of Hubert de Beaumont , Vicomte du Maine and Ermengarde de Nevers, in 1095.²

     Hamon Seigneur de Laval was born circa 1025 at Laval, Mayenne, Maine/Pays-de-la-Loire, France. He was the son of Guy I Seigneur de Laval and Berthe de Champagne. Hamon Seigneur de Laval died between 1079 and 1090.¹

     Hersende (?) died BEF MAR 1094/95.¹ She was born circa 1025 at France.

     Guy I Seigneur de Laval was born circa 1000 at Laval, Mayenne, Maine, USA.¹ He was the son of Geoffrey Seigneur de Laval. Guy I Seigneur de Laval died in 1067.¹

     Berthe de Champagne was born circa 1001 at Champagne, France. She was the daughter of Robert de Champagne.
     Berthe de Champagne I originally had Berthe as daughter of Roger de Toeni, but Leo van dePas, citing ES, has her as daughter of some unidentified 'Robert deChampagne'.

     Gerard III von Wassenberg , Count of Guelders was born circa 1053 at Wassenberg, Lorraine now Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. He was the son of Heinrich von Wassenberg. Gerard III von Wassenberg , Count of Guelders married Clemence de Poitou, daughter of William V Peter Count of Poitou , VII d'Aquitaine and Ermesinde de Longwy, after 1086. Gerard III von Wassenberg , Count of Guelders died in 1125 at Zutphen, Guelders/Gelderland, Netherlands.
     He 1085-built Wassenberg Castle between Rhine & Meuse.

     Clemence de Poitou married an unknown person. She was born circa 1050 at Poitiers, Vienne, Poitou, France. She was the daughter of William V Peter Count of Poitou , VII d'Aquitaine and Ermesinde de Longwy. Clemence de Poitou married Gerard III von Wassenberg , Count of Guelders, son of Heinrich von Wassenberg, after 1086. Clemence de Poitou died after 1129 at Wassenberg, Lorraine now Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.¹

     William V Peter Count of Poitou , VII d'Aquitaine was born circa 1023 at Poitiers, Vienne, Poitou, France.² He was the son of William III Count of Poitou , V Duke d'Aquitaine and Agnes of Burgundy. William V Peter Count of Poitou , VII d'Aquitaine married Ermesinde de Longwy, daughter of Adalbert III Count Longwy , Duke Upper Lorraine and Clemence de Foix, circa 1047. Ermesinde de Longwy married William V Peter Count of Poitou , VII d'Aquitaine, son of William III Count of Poitou , V Duke d'Aquitaine and Agnes of Burgundy, circa 1047. Ermesinde de Longwy died after 1058 at Poitiers, Vienne, Poitou, France.²

     Godfrey de Verdun , Marquis Antwerp was born in 932 at Ardennes, Champagne-Ardenne, France. He married Mathilde (Maud) Billung , of Saxony in 963.⁵ Godfrey de Verdun , Marquis Antwerp died after 3 September 995 at Verdun, Meuse, Lorraine, France.^3,4

I posted this once but it doesn't appear to have worked. If this attemptis a duplicate, my apoligies.

Leo van de Pas, Ed Mann et. al. got their info on Etienne & his dau Emmefrom ES III:687 which spells the toponym: MONTEVRAULT. ES has has nolistings for MONTREVAULT. This is curious as a search of the web shows:
Montevrault: Communauté de communes du canton de Montevrault 49110Montevrault

Unfortunately, the online map websites for this spelling come up blank. Asearch by postal code 49110 produces: Montrevault, Département:Maine-et-Loire (49), Region: Pays de la Loire, France, a town of 1,298people halfway between Nantes & Angers. It appears that either:
1. over the course of time the spelling of Montevrault became Montrevaultor
2. the same place goes by both spellings (since a google search showsboth spellings have postal code 49110 this is probable) or
3. Montevrault is German for Montrevault or
4. Montevrault & Montrevault are different places (the online mapservices aren't the best for small places).

BTW, ES shows Etienne de Montevrault was the 1st known of his line & hiswife is listed as Adelberge (NN). It would seem websites showingancestry of Etienne and/or Adelberge (none list refs that I can find)would appear to be speculating/inventing (my opinion only). Should youfind a reliable secondary source (Keats-Rohan, Settipani, Stasser, etc.)for these lines, I would be most interested in hearing about it.

     Aimee d' Aubigny was born circa 1050 at St Martin d'Aubigny, Manche, Normandy, France. She was the daughter of William Seigneur d' Aubigny and Sister of Grimald de Plessis.

     Isembert Sire de Broyes was born circa 997 at Broyes, Marne, Champagne, France. He died after 1028.¹

     Rohese (Rose) de Monmouth married Hugh de Lacy , Lord of Meath, son of Gilbert I de Lacy , of Hereford and Agnes (?).² Rohese (Rose) de Monmouth was born in 1142 at Monmouthshire, Wales. She was the daughter of Baderon (Badeion) de Monmouth and Rohesia de Clare. Rohese (Rose) de Monmouth died before 1181.³
     She Turton names her 'Rose de Clare (Monmouth)', daughter of Gilbert deClare, and states her 2nd marriage was to Hugh (as his 1st). I am goingwith AR.

     Baderon (Badeion) de Monmouth was born in 1112 at Monmouthshire, Wales. He was the son of William FitzBaderon de Monmouth. Baderon (Badeion) de Monmouth died before 1176.¹

W E Wightman,The Lacy Family (1966), usually reasonable, gave Roese[often 'Rose'] de Monmouth, wife of Hugh II de Lacy, as widow of Baderonde Monmouth (e.g. p. 206, citing Gilbert, Reg. Abbey St. Thos., Dublin,pp 13, 420).

Keats-Rohan, citing Dugdale and H. Guillotel*, has Roese as the daughterof Baderon (s. of William fitz Baderon, s. of Baderon, s. of Caradoc deLa Boussac [near Dol, Ille-et-Vilaine]) and as da. of Roesia de Clare;DD, 591-2. (The early generations of this sequence are generallyaccepted in Breton histories.) The latter affiliation matches that givenby Altschul and others (incl Weis AR7), many of whom present Roese'smother as Rohese de Clare, da. of Gilbert fitz Richard de Clare andAdeliza de Clermont.

Are we agreed that Wightman's positively in error? It would be good toknow if anyone's seen the Reg. Abbey St. Thos., which Keats-Rohan and theothers appear not to have consulted.
