- Birth*: Duncan was born circa 1836 in Springfield, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.1,5
- Residence*: He lived in 1913 in St. Peters, Richmond, Nova Scotia, Canada.3
- Obituary: His obituary reads:
Cameron, Duncan 72-1924-5-8
At St. Peter’s, C.B., on the 14th inst., in the 88th year of his age, after a month’s illness, Duncan Cameron, merchant, son of the late Hugh Cameron (Og), and Mary McIssac, his wife, of Springfield, Antigonish Co. When 22 years of age Mr. Cameron came to St. Peter’s, where after six years of clerkship he opened a store of his own in which he conducted a general business for 54 years, only relinquishing its management in favor of his son five years ago. His death severs an interesting link with the past insomuch as he was one of the last few surviving students, and possibly the last, of the old St. Andrew’s grammar School, which under the professorship of the late Dr. MacGregor and Dr. Hugh Cameron he attended for two years. The outstanding virtue of his life, next to his faith was his sincerity. A lover of truth, and with strong convictions, he was ever fearless in expressing openly his detestation of anything savoring of duplicity or hypocrisy. His wife and nine children of a family of thirteen survive him, as does also a sister, Mrs. Donald MacDonald of New Glasgow. After a requiem high mass his remains were laid to rest on the 17th, in the family plot in St. Peter’s cemetery. R.I.P.2
- Burial*: He was buried in 1924 in St. Peter's Cemetery, St. Peter's, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.2
- Death*: He died in 1924 in St. Peter's, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada.2
- Biography*: Duncan was a merchant at St. Peter's.1
