This happened in the city of Opoczno on the 9th of October in the year 1863 at two o'clock in the afternoon . . . and they informed me that yesterday at two o'clock in the morning passed away an Orthodox Jew Szmul Lejb Leber who made his living as a craftsman and lived in the city of Opoczno, sixty-six years old, the son of Szymon and Fajga a married couple the Lebers, who are already deceased. He left behind his widowed wife Chaja Leber and four children of which the following are his sons: Zys, Szyj and Berek and one daughter Chaja, all adults.
