On 25 May 1791 Waterman Burlingame received land from his father Philip Burlingame.2
In 1796, he was an ensign in the 3rd Co., Cranston Militia, and was Captain from 1797 to 1798. In 1800 he was 2nd Major in the 6th Regt. of Providence Co. Militia, and in 1801 was 1st Major.2
On 17 February 1803 he and his wife Hannah sold their interest in the property of Hannah's father, James Burlingame, to Cyrus Burlingame of Scituate, Rhode Island, and to Richard, Charles, Jabez, and James Burlingame of Cranston, Rhode Island.3 On 19 March 1805 he bought his brother Samuel's interest in a farm in Cranston, Providence Co., Rhode Island, which had been left to their father by their grandfather Samuel Burlingame.3
He was Justice of the Peace in Cranston from 1809 to 1815.2
He and his first wife Hannah had the following known children: Asa (b 28 February 1790, d 6 March 1864), Hannah, Deliah, Roby (b abt 1795), Celinda, Hardin (b abt 1798, d 25 October 1872), Henry, Jabez (b abt 1804, d 5 March 1841), Philip (b 11 March 1811, d 22 March 1878), Horace (b 1814).2

He served as a sergeant in Gen. Sullivan's Expedition in 1778, with his brother-in-law Pardon Burlingame.1
Before 1816 he lived in Warwick, then Scituate, then Cranston, Rhode Island.2 He lived in Sterling, Windham Co., Connecticut, from 1816 to 1826.2 From 1826 to 1832 he lived in Abington Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania.2

She was named in her father's will dated 2 January 1670 (1670/71?) and proved on 20 Jan the same year. She was left £15, £5 of which was to be paid by her brother John three years after her father's death, and £5 annually after that.4
Her own will was dated 6 March 1719 and proved 3 February 1720. The executor was her son Moses. In her will she left: to her son-in-law Thomas Burlingham and his wife Martha, £20; to her son-in-law John Lippitt and his wife Rebecca, £20, and she cancelled a debt of £32 he owed her; to her granddaughter Mercy Gorton, £20; to her grandson David Burlingame, £10; to her granddaughter Mary Colvin, £20; to her granddaughter Margaret Remington, £20; to her sister Martha Eldridge, £10; to her cousin John Budlong, 40s; and to her son Moses, the rest of her estate.3

He and his brothers Samuel, Peter, Moses, Joshua, and Steven all were deeded land by their father Thomas.2,6 He and his wife Eleanor (Ralph) Burlingame, along with Richard Searle and his wife Alice (Ralph) Searle, exchanged 16 acres of land in Mashantatack, Rhode Island, with Thomas Stafford, at the right of Thomas Ralph.3
He was ordained as a minister of the Baptist Church in Providence, Providence Co., Rhode Island, in 1733, which he led with Rev. Winsor. He later resigned, and joined a new church in Cranston.3
He and his brother Peter were co-executors of their father's will, dated 5 June 1756 and proved 7 October 1758, and each received 5s.7,2
His own will was dated 6 May 1766 and proved at Cranston in 1770. The executor was his son Peter. In his will he arranged for his estate to be charged nine bushels per year, to be given to the poor of Cranston and Warwick, Rhode Island.3

He was a sea captain in the West Indies trade.2
On 28 September 1715 he received 20 acres of land in Mashantatack, Providence Co., Rhode Island, from his father Thomas.1,4
In 1720 he was an ensign in the 3rd company of Providence militia, and served as captain of the company from 1722 to 1725.2
He was co-executor of his cousin Benjamin Burlingame's will, dated 25 January 1741 and proved 12 July 1742, along with John Potter and Benjamin's widow Jerusha.5 He was named in his father's will, dated 5 June 1756 and proved 7 October 1758, and was left 5s.6,1
His own will was dated 2 January 1759 in Scituate, Providence Co., Rhode Island, and proved 29 January 1759. The executor was his son Josiah.2
