     David Shively was born on 13 September 1808 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² He married Elizabeth Mary Metzger, daughter of Henry Metzger and Susannah Ulrich, on 28 March 1833 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² He died on 15 May 1843 in Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 34.²
     He and Elizabeth had the following known children: John S. (b 17 April 1836, d 10 May 1929), Henry (b 15 January 1838, d 10 May 1880), Isaac A. (b 31 December 1839, d 9 February 1900), David Daniel (b 21 November 1841, d 16 August 1908).³

     Susannah Shively was born on 16 September 1809 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² She married David Ulrey, son of Isaac Ulrey and Barbara Cripe, on 5 April 1829 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² She died on 26 January 1884 in Kosciusko Co., Indiana, at age 74.²
     She and her husband David lived in Jackson Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana.² They had one child, born in Montgomery Co., Ohio: John J. (b 8 March 1830, d 8 September 1900).³

     Elizabeth Shively was born on 13 May 1813 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² She died on 27 November 1879 in Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 66.² She was buried at Musselman Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.²

     Hannah Shively was born on 20 August 1814 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² She married Samuel Metzger, son of Henry Metzger and Susannah Ulrich, on 19 March 1837 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² She died on 4 January 1872 in Ross Twp., Clinton Co., Indiana, at age 57.² She was buried at Pleasant View Cemetery.²
     She and her husband Samuel moved to Ross Twp., Clinton Co., Indiana, in 1860.² They had the following known children: Elizabeth (b 21 November 1844, d 27 March 1903), John S. (b 1846, d 1879), Susan (b 1849, d 1930), Esther (b 16 January 1852), Catharine (b 14 February 1854, d 2 August 1935), Mary (b 20 February 1856, d 6 July 1936), Anna (b 30 May 1860, d 29 May 1930).³

     Esther Shively was born in 1817 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² She married David Musselman, son of John Musselman and Susanna Shively, on 7 November 1841 in Carroll Co., Indiana.² She died on 21 April 1899.²
     She and David had the following known children: Susan (b 8 November 1842, d 23 March 1875), John D. (b 27 April 1845), Esther (b 21 September 1847, d 11 June 1925), Aaron (b 1 February 1852, d 12 March 1913).³

     John K. Shively was born on 20 January 1820 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² He married Elizabeth Kuns, daughter of John Kuns and Hannah Wolf, on 29 July 1841 in Carroll Co., Indiana.^3,2 He died on 26 October 1844 in Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 24.² He was buried at the Wise Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.⁴
     He and Elizabeth had two known children, both born in Carroll Co., Indiana: Barbara (b abt 1843, d 11 August 1889) and John K. (b 13 November 1844, d 28 October 1933.⁵

     Samuel Shively was born on 21 February 1822 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.¹ He died on 9 March 1822.¹

     Susannah Metzger was born on 12 September 1806 in Bedford Co., Pennsylvania.¹ She married Jacob Shively, son of John Shively and Esther Wolf, in March 1828 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.¹ She died on 11 December 1883 at age 77.¹ She was buried at Pleasant View Cemetery in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹
     They also raised their nephew Daniel P. Cripe, the son of Susannah's sister Anna and her husband Jacob Cripe, when Anna died shortly after giving birth.¹

     John E. Cripe was born on 5 January 1803 in Huntingdon Co., Pennsylvania.¹ He married Catharine Shively, daughter of John Shively and Esther Wolf, on 18 March 1825 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.¹ He died on 23 September 1876 in Miami Co., Indiana, at age 73.¹ He was buried at the Metzger Cemetery.¹
     He and his wife Catharine moved to Miami Co., Indiana, sometime between 1852 and 1856.¹ They had the following known children, all born in Montgomery Co., Ohio: Elias (b 24 November 1825, d 19 October 1871), John (d at age 2), David (b 19 February 1831, d 1 November 1906), Esther (b 1833. d 11 March 1905), Catharine (b 1835, d 1882), Mary (b 2 July 1838, d 22 December 1915), Hannah (b 1840, d 1863), Stephen C. (b 5 March 1849, d 2 August 1924).²

     David Musselman was born on 23 November 1814 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.¹ He married Esther Shively, daughter of John Shively and Esther Wolf, on 7 November 1841 in Carroll Co., Indiana.¹ He died on 5 July 1852 in Carroll Co., Indiana, at age 37.¹
     He and Esther had the following known children: Susan (b 8 November 1842, d 23 March 1875), John D. (b 27 April 1845), Esther (b 21 September 1847, d 11 June 1925), Aaron (b 1 February 1852, d 12 March 1913).²

Shively, son of John Shively and Esther Wolf, on 29 July 1841 in Carroll Co., Indiana.^3,1 She married second Samuel Harshbarger on 2 December 1871 (or 1851, according to a separate family group sheet for Leonard Wolf, Sr., and Catharine Cripe that was sent with the Wolf Genealogy) in Carroll Co., Indiana.^4,5 She married third Leonard Wise, son of Samuel Wise and Elizabeth Wolf, on 2 April 1876 in Macon Co., Illinois.⁴ She died on 13 October 1889 at age 71.^4,2 She was buried at the Wise Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.^2,4
     She and her first husband John had two known children, both born in Carroll Co., Indiana: Barbara (b abt 1843, d 11 August 1889) and John K. (b 13 November 1844, d 28 October 1933.⁶

     John Kuns was born on 13 April 1794 (or 14 April 1795, according to Stewart) in Huntingdon Co., Pennsylvania.^2,3 He married first Hannah Wolf, daughter of Leonard Wolf and Catharine Cripe, on 13 February 1816 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.² He married second Catharine Blickenstaff, daughter of Joseph Blickenstaff and Barbara Wolf, on 12 May 1861 in Carroll Co., Indiana.⁴ He died on 19 October 1865 in Macon Co., Illinois, at age 71.⁵ He was buried at West Frantz Cemetery.⁶
     He and his family moved to Carroll Co., Indiana, arriving on 11 October 1826. They settled on land in Rock Creek that he had purchased at a land sales event in Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana, in 1824.^2,3 He and his wife Hannah are listed in Carroll Co. in the 1850 census, with their daughter Hannah. Also living with them was George Duke, age 26.⁷ He was a farmer, ran a tannery, and built the first flour mill there, near Delphi.² He was "a very energetic business man and a shrewd trader."³
     He moved to Piatt Co., Illinois, in April 1859, after the death of his wife Hannah the previous November.³ He is probably the "John Koons," age 60, listed in the 1860 census in Cerro Gordo Twp., Piatt Co., Illinois, in the household of Josiah Wolf.⁸
     His second wife Catharine was also his niece, since his first wife Hannah Wolf was the sister of Catherine's mother Barbara Wolf. In a biographical entry for him in Recollections of the Early Settlement of Carroll County, Indiana, James Hervey Stewart wrote "The last time the writer saw him was on the 8th day of May, 1861, when he was on his way to Wild-cat, with the view of returning to Illinois with a buxom widow, the future second Mrs. Kuns."³

     Samuel Harshbarger was born about 1802.² He married Elizabeth Kuns, daughter of John Kuns and Hannah Wolf, on 2 December 1871 (or 1851, according to a separate family group sheet for Leonard Wolf, Sr., and Catharine Cripe that was sent with the Wolf Genealogy) in Carroll Co., Indiana.^1,3 He died on 4 October 1872 in Ladoga, Montgomery Co., Indiana.²

     Samuel Wise was born in 1781 in Huntingdon Co., Pennsylvania.^1,2 He married Elizabeth Wolf, daughter of Leonard Wolf and Catharine Cripe, about 1807 in Montgomery Co., Ohio.¹ He died on 27 January 1841.^1,2 He was buried at the Wise Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.^2,1
     He and his wife Elizabeth, and their family, moved to Deer Creek Twp., Carroll Co., Indiana, about 1827.¹ He built a sawmill on Deer Creek.¹

     John Wise married Mary Cripe.¹

     He and his wife Elizabeth lived in Deer Creek Twp., Carroll Co., Indiana.^5,6 From 1854 to 1870 he was an Elder at the Lower Deer Creek Church.³
