     She and her husband Noah were members of the Old German Baptist Church.¹ They had the following known children: Isaac Leroy (b 1 February 1884, d 5 June 1978), Susie (b 13 July 1887, d 26 December 1951), Charles Cornelious (b 25 August 1889, d 1 May 1918), Clara Aquilla (b 9 December 1891), Sanford Mitchel (b 27 May 1894, d 10 October 1957).²

     Effa Drucilla Cripe was born on 31 March 1871.¹ She married David W. Wolf, son of David Wolf and Susannah Gripe, on 2 June 1889 in Cass Co., Indiana.¹ She died in 1966 at the Home of the Brethren in Mexico, Miami Co., Indiana.¹ She was buried at the Young America Cemetery.¹
     She and her husband David moved from Cass Co., Indiana, to Flora, Indiana, after he retired.¹ They had the following known children: Emerson Glen (b 18 March 1890), Oscar Cornelius (b 31 January 1892), Harvey Leroy (b 21 June 1895, d 5 March 1933), John Franklin (b 17 October or November 1899, d 2 October 1985), Spencer Bertel (b 28 April 1904, d 15 July 1957), Mary Katherine (b 3 November 1908).²

     Joseph E. Gripe was born on 17 April 1830 in Clinton Co., Indiana.^2,1 He married first Hannah Wolf, daughter of Leonard Wolf Jr. and Elizabeth Wagoner, on 9 April 1854 in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹ He married second Catharine Cripe on 16 February 1871.¹ He married third Hannah Shively on 26 August 1898 in Miami Co., Indiana.¹ He died on 15 October 1915 at age 85.^2,1 He was buried at Pyrmont Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.^2,1

     Noah C. Gripe was born about 1857 in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹

     Elias Gripe was born on 3 March 1859 in Clinton Co., Indiana.² He married Amanda Beydler, daughter of Joseph Beydler and Elizabeth Gochenour, on 12 January 1879 in Clinton Co., Indiana.² He died on 2 August 1932 at age 73.² He was buried at Pyrmont Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.²

     Elizabeth Gripe was born on 30 August 1862 in Clinton Co., Indiana.² She married Joseph Shively, son of Andrew C. Shively and Barbara Metzger, on 14 November 1895 in Clinton Co., Indiana.² She died after 1945 probably in California.²
     She and her husband Joseph moved to Piatt Co., Illinois, near Cerro Gordo, in 1897.² They moved to California in 1905, where Joseph's father, brother, and sister were then living.² They had one child, George A. (b 21 June 1899, d 24 April 1945).³

     Moses Gripe was born on 14 April 1869.¹ He died on 29 August 1870 in Clinton Co., Indiana, at age 1.¹ He was buried at Pyrmont Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.¹

     Amanda Beydler was born on 1 October 1857 in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹ She married Elias Gripe, son of Joseph E. Gripe and Hannah Wolf, on 12 January 1879 in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹ She died on 7 February 1944 at age 86.¹ She was buried at Pyrmont Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana.¹

Gripe and Hannah Wolf, on 14 November 1895 in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹ He died on 26 November 1929 in McFarland, Kern Co., California, at age 56.¹ He was buried at Delano Cemetery in McFarland, Kern Co., California.¹
     He and his wife Elizabeth moved to Piatt Co., Illinois, near Cerro Gordo, in 1897.¹ They moved to California in 1905, where Joseph's father, brother, and sister were then living.¹ They had one child, George A. (b 21 June 1899, d 24 April 1945).²

     Andrew C. Shively was born on 14 January 1835 in Dayton, Montgomery Co., Ohio.² He married first Barbara Metzger, daughter of John Metzger and Hannah Ulery, on 6 October 1853 in Clinton Co., Indiana.² He married second his first wife's sister Mary Metzger, daughter of John Metzger and Hannah Ulery, on 22 April 1896 in Cerro Gordo, Piatt Co., Illinois.² He died on 20 February 1910 in Lordsburg, Los Angeles Co., California, at age 75, when the bicycle he was riding was hit by a car. He was on his way home from Pomona, where he had gone to visit his sick brother. He died at home, about an hour after the accident.³ He was buried in Lordsburg, Los Angeles Co., California.²
     He and his first wife Barbara moved to Cerro Gordo, Piatt Co., Illinois, in 1872.² They moved again about 1884, to Lordsburg, Los Angeles Co., California.²

     Barbara Metzger was born on 5 April 1835 in Carroll Co., Indiana.² She married Andrew C. Shively, son of Jacob Shively and Susannah Metzger, on 6 October 1853 in Clinton Co., Indiana.² She died on 14 December 1895 in Cerro Gordo, Piatt Co., Illinois, at age 60.²
     She and her husband Andrew moved to Cerro Gordo, Piatt Co., Illinois, in 1872.² They moved again about 1884, to Lordsburg, Los Angeles Co., California.²

     Catharine Blickenstaff was born on 22 November 1839 in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹ She married Samuel Wolf, son of Leonard Wolf Jr. and Elizabeth Wagoner, on 15 November 1857 in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹ She died on 28 June 1923 in Brighton, LaGrange Co., Indiana, at age 83.¹ She was buried near the English Prairie Church in LaGrange Co., Indiana.¹
     She and her husband Samuel moved to Sumner Co., Kansas, sometime between 1882 and 1885.¹

     Isaac Wolf was born on 19 December 1859 in Clinton Co., Indiana.² He married first Catharine Wagoner, daughter of Jacob A. Wagoner and Susan Deal, on 12 March 1882 in Carroll Co., Indiana.² He married second Anna Metzger, daughter of Andrew Metzger and Lydia Skiles, on 20 July 1890 in Rossville, Clinton Co., Indiana.² He died on 23 November 1933 in LaGrange Co., Indiana, at age 73.² He was buried near the English Prairie Church in LaGrange Co., Indiana.²
     He and his second wife Anna moved from Kansas to Piatt Co., Illinois, sometime between 1895 and 1900.² He and his first wife Catharine had the following known children, all born in Carroll Co., Indiana: Artie Melvin (b 26 April 1883, d 26 March 1884), Eldo C. (b abt 1885), Truman E. (b 1 January 1890, d 13 July 1960).² He and his second wife Anna had two known children, Cora Eva (b 13 December 1893) and Leon A. (b 24 May 1903).²

     Lydia Wolf was born on 21 July 1861 in Clinton Co., Indiana.¹ She died on 20 September 1941 in LaGrange Co., Indiana, at age 80.¹ She was buried near the English Prairie Church in LaGrange Co., Indiana.¹

     Hannah Wolf was born on 28 February 1866 in Clinton Co., Indiana.² She married Jonas Peter Cripe, son of Peter D. Cripe and Elizabeth Saltzman, on 2 January 1887 in Sumner Co., Kansas.² She died on 9 May 1893 in Conway Springs, Sumner Co., Kansas, at age 27.² She was buried in Conway Springs, Sumner Co., Kansas.²
     She and Jonas had the following known children: Bertha May (b 9 May 1888, d 5 December 1981), Etta F. (b 12 October 1889), Omer I. (b 16 April 891), Clara Ethel (b 5 May 1893, d 1 August 1898).³
