He probably served as constable in Andover, Essex Co., Massachusetts, in 1726, and was highway surveyor in 1746.2 On 22 April 1756 he paid £8 13s 4d for someone to take his son's place in a military expedition to Crown Point, New York.2 In his will, dated 1763, he left his "armory" and his slave manservant Dick to his son Jeremiah, who was to support his widowed mother.2
He and Mary had the following known children, all born in Andover, Essex Co., Massachusetts: Mary (bap 14 March 1725, d 1739), Rebecca (b 14 November 1726, probably d 9 Junn 1814), Naomi (b 9 February 1729/29, d 1739), Ebenezer (b 17 January 1730/31, d 1739), James (b 22 March 1734, d 15 October 1739 or in 1761), Mehitable (b 21 September 1736, d 1761), Jeremiah (b 15 March 1738/39, d 1 October 1806), Ebenezer.2

She and her second husband Frank were living in Caldwell, Canyon Co., Idaho, in 1910, along with her daughter Ethel Swikert.8 In April 1930 she was living with her daughter Ethel's family, as Grace Watt, in La Grande, Union Co., Oregon.5
